Swindon Town In Youth Shocker

Swindon Town are expected to make a major announcement where they will announce they have signed 9 youth team players to professional contracts.

Chariman Andrew Fitton has always stated that he wanted the club to have a top youth set-up and he is expected to announce the club have signed 9 youth team players to 18 month contracts which will ensure they remain at the County Ground.

Over the last couple of seasons Town have sold 2 youth players (Ben Tozer to Newcastle and Lukas Jutkiewicz to Everton) to Premier League sides and David Byrne has already stated that he has 3 players who he believes will earn big money moves in the future.

Fitton is keen to see his youth starlets feature in the first team at Swindon before selling their players like the previous board tended to just to keep the club afloat.

Fitton has also promised substancial funding for Swindon Town's youth set-up as he hopes to turn Swindon into a centre of youth excellence.
