Maurice Malpas Drops Jerel Ifil

Maurice Malpas Drops Jerel Ifil

Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas has made a surprising change to the starting XI that lost to Walsall 3-0 on the weekend as Town take on Oldham this evening.

Malpas decided to start youngster Chris Allen as well as drop rock solid defender Jerel Ifil to the bench who has been solid all season.

Ifil has been replaced by Patrick Kanyuka.

Ifil had a poor game Saturday against Walsall but so did most of the team.

A bold move by Malpas however Ifil has been solid all season and we are very confused why a player who has had one game probably over the last 2 seasons is punished this way?

He may be "resting" Jerel BUT MM is starting to upset me a tad now.... Has Big Pete Brez rejected his advances or does he just not like the guy????
