Blackburn Joins Weymouth On Loan

Swindon Town defender Chris Blackburn has left the club to join Blue Square Premier side Weymouth on loan.

Blackburn has been frozen out of the first team and has been told he is free to leave the club at the January transfer window.

Blackburn had been linked with a move back to Morecambe where he helped the former Conference club achieve promotion to the Football League last season.

The former Morecambe defender will link up with former Swindon Town players Franklin Anzite, Scott Doe and Jonathan Stewart at Weymouth.
