Zaaboub Disciplined For Bust Up

Zaaboub Disciplined For Bust Up

Swindon Town midfielder Sofiene Zaaboub has been disciplined for a bust up with assistant manager David Byrne.

Zaaboub was upset that he was substituted in Town's second string match against Bristol Rovers in the week and took his frustrations out on assistant manager David Byrne.

Byrne and Zaaboub exchanged words in the tunnel and dressing room after the touchline incident.

Town boss Maurice Malpas has stated the issue has been resolved now.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser, Malpas said, 'The incident is finished now. It has been put to bed and he has been disciplined internally. He has accepted it and that is it.'

The incident earlier in the week was not the first time the two have clashed.

Sofiene was having one of his best games for Town against Swansea City before being sent off due to an injury to Barry Corr.

Zaaboub reacted angrily and stormed off the pitch in anger.

Good to see a bit of passion from the player but guess he crossed the line. Most players would be upset to be frozen out!
