Swindon Town Face Relegation Battle

Swindon Town are now only 5 points off relegation back to League 2 after Gillingham beat Luton Town 2-1 this evening.

Swindon have been on a very poor run winning 1 in their last 10 however things are going to get very nervy as the season comes to a close.

Swindon Town were points clear of the relegation places and even a goal by former Swindon Town hero Sam Parkin was not enough to see Luton beat Gillingham and give us some breathing space.

Town travel to Gillingham in a couple weeks time and Swindon fans will be biting their nails now hoping that Swindon can avoid the drop back to League 2 just a season after winning promotion back to League 1.

Our last 4 games are against teams below us. If we dont buck our ideas up soon we could lose them all and be in big trouble. Could do with a point at least on Saturday to calm a few nerves

I used to live in Swindon. Roundabouts everywhere. Only went to the County Ground a few times but enjoyed it every time - a footie stadium, like, 15 minutes walk away!! - and although I'm not really a supporter I do follow their ups and downs. These must be tense teams for you real fans. Wasn't the new gaffer saying he wanted you established back in the Championship within 3 years or something ?? Still lots of work to do.. Good luck :o)
