'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jack Smith Could Leave Swindon

Swindon Town defender Jack Smith could leave the club after being offered a one year extension to remain at the County Ground.

Smith told the Swindon Advertiser'I will go away and think about it now. It looks like it will only be another year contract and maybe I will want to push on and get some security.

'Maybe get a house and get settled down somewhere, so that is something I am going to have to think about.'

Smtih stated that he left Watford for first team football and wants to stay at Swindon as long as he gets first team football.

Smith joined Town from Watford prior to the 2005/06 relegation season.

It looks as if Smith is going to test the market before committing to Swindon Town for one more season.

Town boss Maurice Malpas has stated that Smith is a good player but not a finished product.

Not his best season after injury at the start, found it hard to get going again it seems. Still has a load to offer
