Millwall Thank Swindon Town

Millwall Football Club have thanked the staff at Swindon Town Football Club for helping to deal with Danny Senda's injury in Swindon's 2-1 win on Saturday over Millwall.

Senda scored the opening goal of the game giving the visitors the lead however Senda would face agony just before half time as he landed awkwardly and dislocated his knee.

A statement from Millwall F.C said, 'I (Bobby Bacic) asked Paul Robinson and Neil Harris to make sure our players were cleared away from Danny to prevent them witnessing their team-mate in a distressed state with a visibly damaged knee.

'This allowed myself and the Swindon medical team to get Danny off the pitch and into the medical room where their Doctor administered pain relief before Danny was taken to hospital by ambulance.

'Danny was accompanied to the hospital by our sports rehabilitator. He was later discharged in plaster so that he could return to London with the rest of his team-mates.

'Danny was picked up from the hospital by the team coach because Kenny Jackett said that we should travel together as a team.

'We would like to thank Swindon Town FC and the staff at Swindon Hospital for their help.'

Town fans as well as Millwall fans gave Senda a standing ovation as he left the pitch.

GET WELL SOON DANNY SENDA
