Jack Smith Set To Stay At Swindon

Swindon Town defender Jack Smith has accepted a new one year contract to remain at the County Ground, Town boss Maurice Malpas revealed today.

Smith is currently away on holiday in Chicago and had hinted that he may look at a move away from Wiltshire and secure a longer deal elsewhere.

Smith looked brilliant for Town towards the end of the season and earned a new deal thanks to those performances.

The former Watford defender will be looking to secure a place in the starting XI after Miguel Comminges completes his move to FA Cup finalists Cardiff City.
