'We have to accept we will go down'
Swindonian Goalkeeper, Rhys Evans has said that another performance like the one at Nottingham Forest, Swindon Town will be relegated to the lowly depths of League 2. Speaking to the local press he voiced his concern over the team's current form. “If we play like we did at Forest again then we have to accept we will go down.'
Town Fans were disgusted with the 7-1 massacre on Saturday to the rejuvenated Nottingham Forest side and Evans has said, actions speak louder than words.“We need to produce on the pitch. Fans don't want to hear us coming out with empty words.'
The former England Under 21 keeper is out of contract in the summer and would likely gain a lot of interest from League One clubs should the worst happen and Swindon drop to League Two next season.
The former Chelsea keeper is currently mulling over a new contract but has said he will not sign the contract just for the sake of signing it.
