Salisbury City 4 Swindon Town 1

Salisbury City advance to the final of the Wiltshire Shield by beating Swindon Town 4-1 today to go up 4-2 on aggregate at Raymond Enhill Stadium in Salisbury. The Swindon side had 5 players who had first team experience this season playing.

The Salisbury fans were having fun singing "There's only one team in Wiltshire" as Swindon suffered their 3rd humiliating loss in the past week. Town Reserves lost 5-0 to Bristol Rovers, 7-1 to Nottingham Forest and now a heavy defeat at Salisbury.

Scoring for Swindon was Ashan Holgate.

SWINDON TOWN TEAM MANAGED BY IAN WOAN:

Matt Bulman, Christian Roberts, Jonathan Stewart, Gary Pryde, Scott Doe, Andy Westall, Chris Taylor, David Stroud, Michael Pook, Ben Wells, Chris Allen, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Ashan Holgate, Shane Garricks.

Salisbury City now play Chippenham Town in the final of the Wiltshire Shield at the County Ground in April. Chippenham beat Swindon Town in the final least year and will look to hold on to the shield this term.
