Walsall Sign Sofiene Zaaboub

Walsall have signed former Swindon Town midfielder Sofiene Zaaboub who was released at the end of last season.

Zaaboub arrived at Town under former manager Paul Sturrock during the League 2 promotion season after impressing during a trial at the club.

Zaaboub would soon become a Town main stay and become a fans favourite however that changed last season after Sturrock departed the club for Plymouth Argyle.

Zaaboub would soon be dropped from the team following a series of arguments with the new management team Maurice Malpas and David Byrne.

Zaaboub`s attitude ultimately lead to his release at the end of the season after throwing his shirt down and arguing with the management team on the touchline following being substituted during a reserve match late last season.

good signing for Walsall ?
Big No 9
Hopefully for your sakes - but he does blow hot and cold. Good when he's good a complete pain when not, also gets in a strop now and again. He fell foul here when he couldn't get his way - so on bike yer pal !

Has the potential to be really good. Was quality in our promotion season from L2.
