Swindon Target Kevin Maher Joins Oldham

Swindon Town target Kevin Maher has joined League One rivals Oldham Athletic after choosing to turn down a move to Gillingham or Swindon Town.

Town boss Maurice Malpas had stated that Maher was given a deadline to return a call whether to accept a contract with Swindon however the former Southend midfielder chose to ignore the deadline and not even bother to return the call.

Malpas had been a keen admirer of Maher and tried to sign him in January from Southend before he accepted a move to Gillingham.
