Simon Cox Has Minor Surgery

Swindon Town's top pre-season goalscorer Simon Cox has had surgery on a hand injury he suffered in training this week.

Town boss Maurice Malpas has told fans who will no doubt fear the worst, that Cox should be ready to play against Tranmere in 2 weeks time.


Simon Cox has been on fire


With Cox ascent from today's match, Billy Paynter and Lee Peacock started up front for Town in their 4-1 win over Chippenham.

Paynter would score one of the 4 goals in today's game.

Prior to his injury, Cox was leading Town's goalscoring charts by scoring 6 times so far in pre-season.
