'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Former Swindon Boss Sturrock Has Parkinsons

Former Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has revealed he is suffering from Parkinsons Disease.

Sturrock made the revelation at a press conference where his current club, Plymouth Argyle are playing.

Speaking to the media Sturrock said, 'It doesn't really affect me, unless I forget to take a tablet - and then I just get a few tremors in my hand or my leg,' he said.
'It will not affect the way I go about my job. There's plenty of life in the old dog yet.'

Luggy as he is known to fans, spent just over a year at the County Ground and guided Swindon Town to promotion back to League One during the 2006/07 season.

awful news, horrible disease. Glad to see him manfully fighting it!

Nice man who always makes me smile with his antics... Hope he works for a long as he can.. Football would be less without him...

Luggy has had this for 8 years so I dare say he will be fine! All the best to Luggy!

Don't think he's the type to dwell on it but just get on with life - and best wishes to him... Another of the games characters and one of the shrewdest managers I believe we have had at Swindon.
