Swindon Keen To Sign Lilian Nalis and Yinka Casal

Following Swindon Town's 1-1 draw with Cardiff City, Town boss Maurice Malpas told the press he would like to keep both Lilian Nalis and Yinka Casal at the club.

Nalis looked very impressive throughout the game and did not put a foot wrong and Malpas had praise for the 36 year old midfielder following the match, 'You can see he(Nalis) is a player and has played at a high level. He knows what he wants to do and hopefully we can get something done to keep him here. I might just tie him to the chair and not let him go home! We have to speak with him but we are hopeful.'

Casal was just as good and showed a bit of pace at the back for Town wearing the number 18 shirt.

Casal spent time at Fulham as well as Major League Soccer's DC United before joining Cambuur Leeuwarden who he is current contracted to.

Town will have to sort out a deal with Casal's current club before any move can be made official.

Town manager Malpas said, 'Yinka showed a lot of good attributes and we will speak to his agent and his club and see what we can do. If we can do a deal then we will try. I have said that before and it has come back and slapped me in the face, but the player is keen to be here.'

Town will also make a decision about Eastleigh winger Mark Marshall in the coming days.

Hopefully MM's patience in the market will pay off this time, both players seem to fit the bill.

Nalis did not look out of place even though he has only played a couple games for us. Definaltey worth signing.

Will be a great signing for you guys he was a fantastic player for Argyle and with our lack of signings we may yet regret releasing him. Well done Lil very best wishes and good luck, not that you will need it.
