Eastleigh Confirm Marshall Transfer To Swindon

Blue Square South Club Eastleigh have confirmed that they have agreed in principle to allow midfielder Mark Marshall to complete his dream move to Swindon Town.

A statement from Eastleigh F.C said, 'The Club can confirm that we have agreed, in principle, to the transfer of Mark Marshall. Eastleigh Football Club have agreed a substantial undisclosed fee with Swindon Town, and it is hoped that the formalities will be completed within the next 48 hours.'

Marshall had stated that a switch to Swindon was a dream move and that he wanted to move to go through more than anything.

His agent is former Town player Fitzroy Simpson who earlier in the week stated that he wanted Marshall to join Swindon Town.

AFC Bournemouth were also interested in Marshall and asked Eastleigh if they could take the player on loan with the view to a permanent transfer to which Eastleigh declined.
