Maurice Malpas Match Reaction

Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas gives his verdict after Town's 2-1 win at the Stadium:MK.

MM on how the week has gone

'We worked hard in the week after last week. We made a few changes and overall we asked the players to be tighter as a unit. We were prepared to let the opposition have the ball, but make sure they didn't get behind us.'

MM on Smith starting in goal

'We changed the keeper as well - I was disappointed with the goals we conceded last week and Phil had been patient for his chance.

MM on the strike-duo

'It was typical play from Coxy. He chased the centreback down and slid it across to Billy Paynter who finished well.

'The penalty was a fair one and thankfully Coxy put it away. He looks calm and is a confident lad in front of goal.
