Christian Roberts To Leave Swindon Town?

Swindon Town midfielder Christian Roberts tenure at the County Ground appears to be coming to a close.

Roberts who has been out with a knee injury has apparently been negotiating with the club to cancel his contract.

Roberts arrived at the County Ground under old boss Andy King from local rivals Bristol City for a fee of £50,000 during the 2004/05 season.

After an up and down tenure at the County Ground he suffered a knee injury that required surgery.

Ever since surgery at the tail end of last season Roberts has hardly been heard from until now.

The Western Daily Press reports that Roberts is looking to cancel his contract but the article did not state the injury had ended his career.
