We All Hate Leeds Scum?

We All Hate Leeds Scum?

At the last 2 Swindon Town matches a section of Town fans have started chanting, 'We all hate Leeds scum' but why?

Let's be honest frankly it's somewhat embarrassing. Why do we hate Leeds? OK Ken Bates is a bit of an idiot and yes Dennis Wise left us for the pound signs at Elland Road but let's be honest do Leeds fans really care less about Swindon Town? Not a chance.

Town take on the former European giants in a League One match this Saturday at the County Ground in what should be a good match.

Town have come off 2 good performances away whilst Leeds battered hapless Crewe Alexandra 5-2 at the weekend.

Leeds talent wise is probably the best team in League One and without the stupidity and crying about being -15 points this season, Leeds should be 'up there' at the end of the season.

Town will be looking to take all 3 points after losing last years affair at the County Ground.

Town fans favourite 'tosser' Casper Ankergren seems to have fallen out of favour and will likley play second fiddle to David Lucas who has travelled around the league.

Ankergren will be remembered by Town fans for allegedly throwing a lighter at fans in the Town End after Leeds win last season.

Why Casper had a lighter on the pitch we will never know.

As for 'We all hate Leeds scum' it seems a bit silly to chant something like this. I mean lets be honest, Leeds fans care about Manchester United and Chelsea, not Swindon Town except maybe for this Saturday. Let's get behind Swindon and not worry about Leeds.

At the end of the day they are just another League One club now. They are a big club in name only, Let's right the wrongs that took place against Colchester United in our last home game.

My dislike of Leeds is for that Ken Bates - just to look at him winds me up - let alone the way he treated us in the past. Leeds are a big club who paid the price for spending too much on players and losing too many games in premier league games, and have also tried to beat the system, and now on the slippery slope they are still running to stand still, but they will, I think climb back up there, must admit though ain't too bothered if they don't.

WHAT HAS BATES DONE TO US? Bates took Glenn Hoddle from us when we were promoted to the Premier League in 1993, Bates took Wise and Poyet from us a couple of seasons ago. We backed up Leeds in the -15 points fiasco and then Bates slammed our fans after that?

Leeds still ARE a big club, Leeds hater Roy Keane even said it this weekend "Antony Stokes is more than good enough to play in the Championship, but if a big club like Leeds in League One came in, then that would be an option." We may be League 1, however this present squad on MERIT earned 91 points last season proving this is a Championship side, and we have added to that squad the likes of Robinson (Swansea), Becchio (Barcelona/Boca Jnrs), Tefler (Celtic) etc. 20,000 minimum home crowds each week, sold out & maximum crowds at every away game last season. 4-0 against Crystal Palace two weeks ago? Bates is no favourite at Leeds, and that Midget Winky eyed ******** & Poyet, your lucky, they left us too for money & are destroying the Cartoon Army. Watch out Gary Macca was a class player & we are now playing his style of passing possesion football with a venomous shooting midfield & strike force. We are the most hated team in the country thats also a fact. Chant all you want, its that hatred that feeds us.

Gus Poyet is the stronger of the 2 - when he departed Wisey struggled.... won't denigh Leeds WERE a very big club and their fan base still exists - trouble is they are still in the lower league, and why are they there, cos like us we didn't have a good enough side to win enough games and were relegated. Am I wrong in thinking the 25 points were over 2 seasons... Good luck but not against us ..

Notts Forest said the same, season after season Tiny. Eventually when they realised it takes wins and not reputations and past glories to gain promotion they did it - think on TT ...your team got where they are by the way they played - same as us but we went even lower and hopefully now we will climb back up.
