STFC: Bath Rugby To Share With Swindon Town

Bath Rugby Club look as if they will be playing their home games at Swindon Town F.C's County Ground starting next season.

Bath chief executive Bob Calleja has told the local press recently, 'Yes, we are talking seriously with Swindon Town about sharing their football stadium as an interim measure. I'd like to think we can find a permanent solution that involves us playing where we play now, but if you ask me for my gut feeling, I'd have to say that I don't think we'll be here next season.'

For years now Bath Rugby Club have tried to get a new stadium but have failed in doing so and now have to move if the Rugby Club is to prosper.

The deal is close to bring Guinness Premiership Rugby to Swindon with a spokesperson from Bath saying, "It is more than a handshake but we haven`t signed a contract yet."

Wonder how many of those egg shaped balls they will lose in the Car Park behind the Town End...
