STFC: Christian Roberts Gets Testimonial Match
Swindon Town midfielder Christian Roberts who was forced to retire with a knee injury will get a testimonial match against a Chelsea All-Star XI side.

he Swindon Advertiser revealed Saturday that Swindon Town have agreed to host a testimonial match for Roberts even though he has only been at the club for about 5 years.
Roberts praised Swindon Town's senior management team, 'Not many clubs would do that for a player unless they'd been there for 10 years and it says a lot about the guys in charge at Swindon and how they are trying to run their club.
Players expected to take part are Gianfranco Zola, Gianluca Vialli, Roberto Di Matteo and former Town management duo Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet.
The game is expected to be held in January 2009.
