Iffy Onuora has said the team are 'looking forward' to the FA Cup game and 'all know the importance of a good FA Cup run to this club'.
Swindon face Boston on Saturday. Onuora told the official site: 'I am aware that it would be nice to give the fans something back after their excellent backing and a home performance is what we are looking for this weekend. The team has goals in it and I know we are not too far from putting together a complete performance. Boston United is an important game this weekend and we want to make sure we are in the hat for Round Two, before we take on Bristol City next Friday night.'
Onuora also knows the match will be no easy tasking: “Boston have experience in their side and they’re not to be underestimated. People like Julian Joachim and Jason Lee have had top flight experience. They’re a hard working side, solid and have a physical presence as well. I’m mindful of that and we’re trying to make preparations with that in mind. They’re a decent side and we know what we’re up against. It’s a magical competition that holds great memories and it’s my first experience in at as a manager. We want to be in the hat on Saturday night as a cup run would be great for the club.”
He also says modestly about the way he has turned things around: “We won’t be taking any premature plaudits. We’ve steadied the ship no more than that.”
