STFC: Fitton Dismisses Holloway Rumours

Swindon Town has dismissed rumours that Ian Holloway is being lined up to replace under-fire manager Maurice Malpas despite Holloway being at the County Ground Saturday.

Rumours were rife that Holloway was at the game and now pictures have shown up online confirming Holloway's attendance at Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Huddersfield.

Chairman Andrew Fitton said, 'If Holloway was there then he was there to watch a football match, He wasn't an invited guest and it's not relevant.'

This will not cool down rumours of Holloway taking over for Malpas especially if the club continues to play poorly at home.

Town currently sit one point above the relegation places in League One.

'If Holloway was there then he was there to watch a football match",........well he didn't see one then.... hardly a match with only one team playing and for certain that team was not Swindon.
