Nicolau Hints At Departure

Swindon Town Midfielder has hinted his future may lay away from the County Ground.

Nicolau who joined Swindon from Southend in the summer has feature only 4 times this season after suffering numorous set backs this season.

Nicolau has revealed that Iffy Onuora came to watch him at Herefore United, where he is currently trying to get them promotion back tot he Football League but doesn't know where he stands.

“I know the gaffer (Iffy Onuora) came to see a game and this is about me proving myself.'

“I wasn't really getting much involvement at Swindon, even in the 16, and I think the gaffer felt there were people in front of me, but you never rule anything out.'

Since Nicolau's departure, Paul Smith and Aaron Brown have joined the mix and are ahead of Nicolau in the pecking order.

Speaking about his Swindon future, Nicolau said, “If I start afresh at Swindon after that then okay, if I'm not in the plans then you know there are other people watching these games. It's just great to be playing though. When you're just working with the physio and not fully involved it can be difficult. It gets to the stage where you can start to wish the season was over.'

Should Hereford win promotion it would be the second time in 2 season's Nicolau has tasted promotion. Last season the former Arsenal youngster won promotion with Southend United into League One.
