Malpas: Cox Is Not Leaving Swindon Town

Swindon Town manager Maurice Malpas has reassured fans that striker Simon Cox will not be leaving the County Ground in January.

Cox has scored 14 goals this term including 2 hat tricks over the last month.

The former Reading striker was also named the League One PFA 2UP Fans' Player of the Month yesterday.

Malpas told the local media yesterday that it would be impossible replace Cox and that he won`t be leaving the County Ground as chairman Andrew Fitton has re-iterated Swindon Town don`t have to sell anyone.

Malpas told the Swindon Advertiser, 'People can come in during the January window, but trust me on this as well, it will be over my dead body if he goes.'

Cox had been linked to numerous clubs including Sheffield United and Leeds United over the last few days.
