Swindon Town are out of all cup competitions after losing 2-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion at the Withdean Stadium last night.
Town defender was the root cause for both Brighton goals on a disappointing evening in Sussex.
Brighton went ahead when the ever dangerous Nicky Forster was brought down by Kanyuka and slammed home a penalty about 23 minutes into the game.
Swindon dominated a good portion of the game however they were unable to capitalise on their possession in a display that was ten thousand times better than Saturday`s embarrassment at Histon.
Town looked as if they were going to get an equaliser before Kanyuka gave away a corner that was lead to the second goal which was headed in by David Livermore of Brighton.
Town brought on Billy Paynter to have one more shot at staying in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy however it was not to be and the final whistle went.
Town are now out of all cup competitions and get knocked out of their second cup in the space of five days.
Town fans can be heartened by their teams performance at Brighton going into our league match against Leicester on Saturday at the County Ground.
The Town fans remained in high spirits chanting "we`re gonna win the league", tongue in cheek of course but who says we have nothing to win!
Bring on the Wiltshire Shield!!!!
