Swindon Town Tried To Appoint Joe Kinnear

Swindon Town have failed in an audacious bid to make Newcastle United manager Joe Kinnear the new manager of Swindon Town.

Kinnear had been on a rolling month to month contract with The Toon until late last week where it was revealed that Kinnear would remain at St. James' Park until the end of the season as the sale of the club goes on.

The Western Daily Press reports taht Kinnear was the 'blow your socks off' appointment he could have made but as it turns out Kinnear will not be heading to Wiltshire.
