Swindon Town's Manager Hunt Down To Two

Swindon Town Chief Executive Nick Watkins has told the club's official website that the hunt for a new manager is down to two.

Whilst the identity of the candidates has yet to be revealed it is believed that Gary Speed is no longer in the running to be manager due to Sheffield United wanted a large compensation package.

Local media reports indicate that Colin Calderwood the current Nottingham Forest manager and Richard Money the Newcastle United academy director are the last two in the hunt.

It seemed that Money was a lock to get the job but now rumours are flying about that Calderwood is the man Town want to take over from Maurice Malpas who was sacked five weeks ago.
