Swindon Town Manager Search To Start Over

Swindon Town will re-start the managerial search over the weekend after failing to agree terms over a new manager it has been confirmed.

Andrew Fitton, the clubs chairman has confirmed the club had found their man but the club who currently employ him wanted ridiculous money to let him leave and thus the search starts again.

It was heavily rumoured that Richard Money and Colin Calderwood were the red hot favourites however now it appears that Fitton is going back to the drawing board and will start again now new candidates such as Paul Ince, and Danny Wilson are now available.

Town fans have reacted to the news with bemusement however Fitton is determined to get the appointment right.

It now appears that Town will stick with David Byrne until the New Year meaning that the caretaker boss may have one last shot to land the job on a permanent basis.

I think CC is still the target - but not available. Its like when you are house hunting you see one you want but can't get it for what ever reason - it then takes a while before you see anything to match or beat it.

After another bad result of losing to an equally as bad side - the pressure is going to get a bit hotter to get some one to turn this mess around - starting with our defence problems or coaching of it. If I was AW and that Granville I'd be looking at the Situations Vacancy boards..... totally inept, lacking confidence , a complete mess, the defence has ended up with those two in charge/coaching

Forest winning hasnt helped with the availability of CC. We are really in a bit of trouble here, and need new management very quickly. I dont think we will go down but our chances of doing anything better than just staying up are now almost zero
