POLL: Should Smith be No.1?

POLL: Should Smith be No.1?

The majority Vital Swindon Town visitors feel that Phil Smith should be the clubs reserve keeper suggests a recent poll.

The goalkeeper, who was signed by Dennis Wise in 2006, enjoyed a good end to the season making some crucial saves. This good run of form concluded in Phil Smith earning a new contract offer while condeming Peter Brezovan to unemployment.

However, with a history of making some significant errors (e.g. Leeds at home this season) the fans believe that a new goalkeeper coming in with Smith waiting in the wings is the best option for Danny Wilson.

It hasn't been confirmed whether Smith has signed a new deal or not yet.

Should Phil Smith be our 1st choice keeper next season?
