Robinson set for Huddersfield?

The Rumour Mill in all its wisdom has been churning once more and if you believe the mutterings and whispers it appears that Theo 'verbal agreement' Robinson is set to join League One rivals Huddersfield Town.

This will be disappointing news for Swindon fans as the Watford striker went on his holidays agreeing a deal with Danny Wilson but Lee Clark operates under a bigger budget and as we know players go where the better money is and who can blame them?

One hopes that the Swindon fanbase won't begin mutterings of discontent due to this loss (if it happens) because we will always miss out on players for this reason and always will. What we will be hoping is for Danny Wilson to have a decent back-up plan!

Chairman Andrew Fitton is without doubt backing Danny Wilson with decent bids going in this summer for Owain Tudur Jones and Theo Robison. However, as soon as a club with a bigger budget comes in it ends in rejection.

Swindon had beaten Brighton and Southend in the negotiations for Robinson's signiture until Huddersfield came in. The Terriers really appear to be trying to stamp some authority on a division that will be tough to get promotion from this coming season.

You're not wrong H550. Thank you for your comments. Money talks and all that.
Nellup
indeed it does, and I mean that in complete sincerity. just happy we are able to use money for once.
Huddersfield550
Is it still happening H550 or have you been gazumped as well.
APG_STFC
at the moment it's all in the air, it's one of those that the player is waiting for his best offer, maybe not the best thing you want for your club,I for one want players that are commited and want to join us, rather than for money.
Huddersfield550
H550 yep seems like he is easy lead by agent and not by his heart or conscience. By the sounds of it he may burn too many bridges here if he ain't careful.
