Samba Training?

Samba Training?

A photo on the Swindon Town official website has sparked discussion as to whether former hot prospect Cherno Samba is training with the club.

Some will remember the transfer tug-of-war for Samba when he was a teenager with the likes of Liverpool hoping to secure his services. However, most will remember him being quite decent on football management computer games!

It has hardly gone to plan for Samba, now 24, who started his career Millwall before heading to Spain to play for Cadiz. He returned to England in 2006 to play for Plymouth Argyle but disappeared from view again and was last seen playing in Finland for Haka.

However, the link to the club is indeed a tenous one, a picture of Michael Timlin with what looks like Cherno Samba following behind.

With Swindon heading for Austria next week and severely lacking in striking options we may hear some news of trialists in the coming days.

We will keep you posted...
