Douglas Signs

Douglas Signs

Former Leeds United captain Jonathan Douglas has signed for Swindon to bolster the midfield.

The 27 year old Irish ball winner arrives on a free and brings with him the experience of playing in the Premier League and the Championship.

This is sure to be good news as it adds depth to our young midfield and Douglas is said to be very enthusiastic about the future Danny Wilson is shaping at the club.

Douglas' career had stalled slightly whilst at Elland Road, following a reported bust up with former Robins boss Dennis Wise and a serious leg injury sustained at Walsall, but the former Republic of Ireland international surely has his best years to come and his box- to- box style and commitment will impress the Swindon faithfull over the coming season.
