FRIENDLY: STFC 1-0 Universitatea Craiova

Danny Wilson was left satisfied after his Swindon side defeated Romanian top flight outfit Universitatea Craiova by a single goal.

While still in the early stages of pre-season Wilson decided against fielding David Lucas due to a minor back problem and also kept Jonathan Douglas on the bench due to being 1 week behind the rest in training.

Another good run-out saw Town defender Lescinel Jean-Francois score the winning goal from a corner after 17 minutes.

Swindon Town: Phil Smith; Nathan Thompson (Kevin Amankwaah), Jerel Ifil (Gordon Greer), Sean Morrison, Lescinel Jean-Francois (Callum Kennedy); Craig Easton, Jon-Paul McGovern, Michael Timlin (Jonathan Douglas); Alan O`Brien (Anthony McNamee), Lloyd Macklin; Cherno Samba (Billy Paynter)

Universitatea: Silviu Lung Jr., Marius Barbu, Valerica Gaman, Ovidiu Dananae, Julius Wobay (Stefan Barboianu), Andrei Prepelita, Jackie Nicolae, Spase Dilevski (Dorel Stoica), Mihai Dina, Mihai Costea, Michael Baird (Vali Badea).

Next Up: TSV St. Johann at St. Johann im Pongau Stadium.
