Spencer Arrives on Trial

Danny Wilson has brought in former Everton striker Scott Spencer on trial.

Spencer, 20, started his career with his hometown club Oldham Athletic before earning a big move to Everton in the Summer of 2007.

He failed to break into the Toffees first team but Spencer got a brief experience of professional football during a loan spell with Macclesfield Town in March 2008. He played 3 times as a second half substitute.

Spencer who was released by Everton at the start of the month will feature in the friendly against Hungerford Town tonight at Bulpit Lane alongside fellow trialists Cherno Samba, Stephen Morrison (ex-Everton) and Anton Ademol.

STFC Squad for the Hungerford Town fixture: Mark Scott, Nathan Thompson, Jerel Ifil, Sean Morrison, Mark Marshall, Stephen Morrison, Anton Ademol, Billy Bodin, Jordan Record, Scott Spencer, Elliott Knight, Callum Antell, Mark Hartmann, Seb Bloomfield, Will Evans, Mark Clark, Cherno Samba.
