'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Chippenham Town 2-0 Swindon Town XI

Youngsters and trialists were given a run-out tonight as Swindon lost at Chippenham Town.

Sean Morrison was the only Town starter who can be considered a first team player while Mark Marshall was the only other player on show to have featured in the first team.

Trialists Anton Ademole and Stephen Morrison both played and will learn their fate in due course.

Kasali Yinka Casal was again absent from the starting eleven, this being the weakest side fielded in pre-season thus far. Are we to expect his departure in some form sooner rather than later? Many will hope so.

Talking to the official site, David Byrne said that tonights fixture 'was another decent work-out and to be fair I was pleased with the performance'. Byrne then went on to praise the 1st year scholar Seb Broomfield, who signed from Plymouth Argyle this summer, stating that the young striker 'did everything out there apart from score on the night, he did a good job.

Sean Lamb and Sam Allison scored for the Bluebirds.

Swindon Town: Mark Scott; Nathan Thompson, Will Evans, Sean Morrison, Elliot Knight; Mark Marshall, Stephen Morrison, Anton Ademole, Billy Bodin; Seb Broomfield, Jordan Record.

Substitutes: Callum Antell (GK), Matty Barnes, Mark Hartmann
