Town Miss Out on Waghorn

Leicester City have completed the season-long loan deal for young Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn.

The 19 year old made his first team debut for the Mackems last season against Manchester United and earned the Man-of-the-Match award for his efforts that day.

A few more appearances followed before a loan spell at Charlton Athletic where he scored 1 goal in 7 outings.

Wilson mentioned this week that he was hopeful of signing a loanee from a Premiership club - it certainly looks like it's back to the drawing board with that one.

Leicester City were looking for more striking options after missing out on former Swindon hitman Simon Cox who joined West Brom.
