Sam Parkin: Town Will Stay Up

Former Swindon Town Striker Super Sammy Parkin, who has missed most of his first season at Ipswich due to injury has let Swindon fans know he is right behind them in their fight against relegation.

“I will be really, really disappointed if my old club goes down.

“Obviously I have very fond memories of my time at Swindon and still speak to the boys.' Parkin came to watch Swindon earlier in the season with former Town defender Matt Heywood and enjoyed a night in Old Town with his former team mates.

Speaking of the upcoming Fixtures Parkin said, “There are three difficult fixtures left, including a derby at Bristol City who are going well, but you have to keep believing.'

“Hopefully that win at Scunthorpe can be the start of the momentum they need to build.

Sam Parkins verdict: 'Tough fixtures but I still believe Swindon can do it.' Parkin concluded he believes Swindon need atleast 6 points to beat the drop to League Two.
