Costs Will Be Cut in League 2

With Swindon Town on the brink of League Two, Jamie Cureton has hinted that Sean O'Hanlon and Rhys Evans will not be back to help the promotion push next season. 'Costs would probably be cut and I'm sure everyone will be pulled in and told where their futures lie, ' he said.

'Sean (O'Hanlon) and Rhys (Evans) have not signed yet and it's going to be a big summer if we go down - and the people in charge have to do what's right for the club.' This likely means Cureton himself who has been rejuvinated since his loan spell at Colchester would likely be sold, with Colchester the most likely destination.

In respect to coming straight back up Cureton has said that this years squad is good enough to go straight back up to League One, BUT there are no guarantees.

'I'd say this squad is good enough to go straight back up but there's no guarantees with that.'

Many clubs who drop into the bottom divison have a difficult time coming back up. Just look at our blue and yellow friends down the A420.

You've got to be careful not to sell all the better players. Speculate to accumulate is the way to go.
