Town Will Win League 2 By 15 Points?

Defender/midfielder Charlie Comyn-Platt predicts Swindon Town will win League 2 next season by 15 points if the team performs as well as they did Saturday.

Comyn-Platt joined Town last Summer along with Ricky Shakes from Bolton Wanderers. This was his first full season as a first team player and has reflected on his first season and what will come next season “This is my first proper season in senior football and I feel terrible. I would have a job to ever feel lower than I am at the moment.'

“But it was a pleasure to play with the other lads today. Everyone was different class. Steve Jenkins got knocked out, did not know where he was, but still wanted to play on. That summed up the spirit.'

“We were not aware of other results but we knew we had to win to stand a chance and we gave it everything.' Town could have been alive to try and peform the great escape next Saturday against Huddersfield if they would have won Saturday.

Looking to next season Charlie Comyn-Platt made a bold prediction. “If we play like that in League Two we will be back after winning the league by 15 points. But the key is can we play like that consistently?”

Which way to Accrington?
