WILSON: 'They Showed Quality'

Danny Wilson has admitted that his Swindon Town side lacked endeavour up front in order to give Premiership Fulham problems this afternoon.

During the post-match press conference, Wilson praised his sides passing - which he deemed excellent but despite this Swindon 'didn't quite having the cutting edge.'

'We settled ourselves down and played well' continued Wilson but Fulham extra ability 'was the difference'.

The Town manager went on to praise goalscorer Bobby Zamora and the Fulham side for their strength and depth.

There was also special praise for the 6,000 strong Swindon supporters who made the trip to Craven Cottage - Wilson told the press that Swindon 'had fantastic support... They encouraged us from start to finish, and we appreciate it more than anything.'

Town must now prepare for the tough away day to Milton Keynes Dons who were also knocked out to Premiership opposition in the F.A. Cup today - they lost 2-1 at home to Burnley.

A final note - it was nice to read a comment from our friends at Vital Fulham this evening.

"Vital Fulham though would like to thank Swindon for making a game of it and acknowledge that your support was fantastic, how I yearn for such travelling support following Fulham."

Well done to all of the Town fans who made the journey. At least we had the penalty save a celebrate!

By playing our friend and yours Hutch' says how light we were up front, I'd struggle to include him the 'ball boy' squad round the side of the pitch.
APG_STFC
Hutch earned some praise yesterday but I think it was simply because he was a little bit better than usual. I'd have probably picked Timlin ahead of him, maybe Macklin too.
Nellup
I wasn't there but 'a bit better than usual' was probably only because his stay is hopefully nearing completion. I'm not sure what is up with him, just compare Ferry's commitment to his - they are poles apart.
APG_STFC
Obviously you're correct. Ferry's commitment to the cause has been impressive from day one.
