Contract Negotiations Progressing
Talking to local radio prior to the Carlisle United fixture, Swindon Town chairman Andrew Fitton commented on the clubs progress to secure the committment of several Town players before contracts end this Summer.
Fitton confirmed that contracts have been agreed in principle with Phil Smith (1 year), Sean Morrison (1 year) and Callum Kennedy (1 year) while arguably Town's most improved player this season, Jon-Paul McGovern, has agreed in principle on a 2 year extension.
Also currently mulling over contract offers are Billy Paynter and Kevin Amankwaah - they have until the end of the week to decide before negotiations end until the close season.
