Flare + Wooden Stand = Arrests

Leyton Orient Chief Executive Matt Porter has called it the 'most stupid single act I have seen inside Brisbane Road', he's talking about the incident during todays game with Swindon which resulted in three arrests.

A group of Town fans set-off a flare and eventually threw it towards the pitch. Certainly not wise considering the stand they were standing on was wooden thus jeopardising their fellow Town fans and nearby Orient faithful.

Stewards were quick to react while Town fans offered assistance in indentifying those dastardly troublemakers - the Orient website reported that 3 arrests were indeed made.

Orient will be reporting the incident to the police while Town officials are also expected to take further action.

Complete idiocy? Harmless fun? What are your thoughts - Choose your words wisely though!

They probably didn't realalise how dangerous this was - wooden stands in this day and age - can't be many of those around .

You're probably right on the money APG. I doubt he didn't even consider it. Still pretty dumb though. Silly boy.

Some people have no sence. You would have thought that wooden stands would of been banned by now! How many times do you watch European games and see flares being set off? Yet no action is taken. Hopefully those arrested will be banned from the ground as we do not want to be dragged before the FA. With our record we would be deducted points!
