Cureton Asks To Become Free Agent


Striker Jamie Cureton has been in touch with his agent asking Swindon to inact a release clause should the club be relegated.

Swindon Town have been relegated to League Two and now Jamie Cureton looks certain to leave the County Ground after saying for weeks now he wants to play at a higher level.

The revelation came to light when Deputy Chairman Mark Devlin was speaking to Ed Hadwin on BBC Radio Swindon.

Should Cureton inact the clause that would mean he would become a free agent. Cureton has said several times that he wants to leave the club if he can play at a higher level.

Cureton scored 7 goals for Swindon this season after returning from a great loan spell at newly promoted Colchester United.

Most fans will be happy to see the back of Cureton as he does not seem interested in staying at Swindon and helping the club get back to League One.

well he never exactly lit up league 1 last season anyways, so just p##s of so we can bring someone who wants to play for the town in thankyou!!
