Wise Confirmed as New Town Boss

Swindon Town have today confirmed Dennis Wise as their new manager, with Gus Poyet as his assistant, after a press conference on Monday morning.

Both Wise and Poyet will also be registering as players, but will only play if needed. Wise has promised to get the squad fit for the 2006/07 and has insisted that the hard work starts immediately.

As for new players, Wise said he'd wait to see what he has already before making any new signings, but insisted that both he and Poyet have earmarked certain players.
