Wise Cuts Players Holiday

Wise Cuts Players Holiday

Swindon Town manager Dennis Wise has said, last year Swindon Town did not look fit enough, so to rectify this problem he is cutting back their summer holiday.

Wise wants a fit squad who want to 'really have a go at it'. Wise who was known as Dennis The Menace in his playing days, is looking to lead Swindon back to League One in the first year.

Some fans are already comparing the Wise/Gus Poyet regime to Lou Macari who focused on a fit squad. Macari was able to take a squad who was not the most talented to the top due to his fierce fitness program.

Macari used to go around to pubs dragging players out if they were out drinking, or take players to military boot camps to get them shape. No one knows if Wise will use the same tactic but fitness, mentally and physically is high on Wise' list.
