Wise Wants Claridge?

The Sun newspaper is reporting that new manager Dennis Wise will offer 40 year old striker Steve Claridge a contract at the County Ground.

Claridge almost came to Swindon in January when then manager Iffy Onuora thought he had the deal sealed to bring the experienced player in to coach a young side. In the end he signed with Walsall.

Prior to playing at Walsall this season, Claridge was at Bradford City and scored 2 goals against Swindon on 24 September in Bradford's win over Town.

Should Claridge sign, Swindon Town will be his 19th club.

Too old, could be injury prone. No point going for all old timers though.
