Young Player of the Season: Charlie Austin

Young Player of the Season: Charlie Austin

Charlie Austin has been voted Vital Swindon's Young Player of the Season by Vital members.

Austin has become a popular figure since joining from Poole Town in October and has been subject of much column inches within the national press and magazines.

The reason why? Goals... and plenty of them 19 (so far) in his debut season in professional football.

The youngster scored within minutes of his full debut at Carlisle United and has not looked back since. His partnership up front with Billy Paynter is one of the principle reasons as to why Town have found themselves in the Play-Offs.

Young Player of the Season

Winner: Charlie Austin
Runner-Up: Danny Ward
