Town Chasing O'Donovan

The Managing Director of Carlisle United has stated that Swindon Town are among the many active suitors chasing Irish forward Roy O'Donovan.

The former Cork City forward, 24, is available for a transfer after an unsuccessful three year spell at the Stadium of Light.

Regarding O'Donovan, the Carlisle Director, Jon Nixon, mentioned on their official website that their chase for the Irishman is

ikely to en in failure because we believe that he has now been contacted by Charlton, Swindon, Huddersfield and some clubs in the Championship. That's despite the fact that we have had a good offer with him for quite some time.

Among the other interested parties is Hartlepool United where he enjoyed a loan spell during the closing stages of the season that has just finished.
