Cureton Hands In Transfer Request

Swindon Town have confirmed that Jamie Cureton will leave the County Ground on a free transfer after the club were relegated last season.

Cureton looks set to join Colchester United in the Championship on a two year contract. U's manager Phil Parkinson is a known fan of Cureton.

Curo scored 7 goals after returning from a successful loan spell at Colchester. Cureton has decided to leave the club rather than try and help Swindon back to League One.

If Cureton could have found his form at the start of the season and finish two vital goals against Yeovil Town and Bristol City, Perhaps Swindon Town would still be a League One club.

The departure of Jamie Cureton will be no big loss to Swindon Town.

A shame that he never clicked with you. He dyed his hair green when he played for us against Ipswich in 1996. The news that reaches us here in Norfolk is that he has never settled in the West Country, neither at Bristol Rovers, Reading or yourselves, but Colchester, back in East Anglia? He will eventually get his wish to run out on the turf at Carrow Road again, and I bet he scores against us!!!

not good enough for the championship and never got on with the crowd after his costly mistakes . wont be missed

He left Rovers after a very interesting saga!

It was interesting, wasn't it? Especially for 15 year olds, allegedly... The story here in Norwich was that he ws just as naughty at Reading, as well as his attitude. Apparently it was that that cost him his place with QPR when they gor promoted. Bellamy was a mouthy bugger when at Norwich, but his arrogance has paid off...

I think the best thing that has happened is that we have got rid of him. Championship bench warmer.
